Evija Mehra (Class of 1998) – 20 years later, from beauty products to natural wines
Evija Mehra (Evija Ručevska when she graduated from SSE Riga in 1998) has had a truly international career – she went on from accolades (honours and dean’s list) in Riga to the Norwegian Business School for a master’s degree, to plunging into cosmetics and beauty product marketing with L’Oreal as the only Latvian/Baltic person to be picked from 400 Norwegian applicants.

Bo Kragh: Tales of the Wild East for a new generation of bankers-to-be
Bo Kragh, a now-retired banker with a long career at Sweden’s Handelsbanken, has been coming to SSE Riga for more than 20 years to deliver “the lecture” on his experiences with banking in “the Wild East” just as the Soviet Union was collapsing. Bo is a 1971 graduate of what could be called “the mothership” in Sweden – Handelshögskolan or the Stockholm School of Economics as it is called in English.

On September 25, as part of the Bachelor's programme in Public Policy, Bo Kragh, a former banker with an extensive career at Sweden’s Handelsbanken, will deliver a presentation to students on "A Swedish Banker’s Views on Banking and Financing in the Baltics 1988-2023."
