Second cohort completes the Public Leadership Development Programme
The second cohort of participants has completed the Public Leadership Development Programme (Valsts līderu attīstības programma), a pro bono initiative jointly created by SSE Riga and leadership coach Žanete Drone.
The programme aims to foster authentic leadership in public administration and the broader public sector, contributing to the development of a new leadership culture grounded in democratic values, responsibility, and the well-being of society as a whole.
Designed specifically for professionals working in public administration and the public sector, the programme is also known as the “12 Programme” because only 12 participants are admitted to each learning cycle. In 2026, the second group of professionals completed the programme, continuing the initiative’s mission of strengthening values-based leadership in Latvia.
Delivered over several months, the programme offers a practical, personal, and in-depth approach to leadership development, combining professional growth with self-reflection and personal development.
In the video below, participants from the 2026 cohort share their experiences and insights from their journey through the Public Leadership Development Programme, reflecting on the lessons learned, challenges encountered, and the impact the programme has had on their professional and personal growth.
