Public Lecture: Illicit Finance in the Baltics

On September 5, within the Bachelor programme Business Law course, Rowan Newman, who is Senior Policy and Strategy Lead for Russia and Region at the British Embassy in Riga, will deliver a lecture to SSE Riga students on illicit finance in the Baltics. The lecture will take place on-site and we invite everyone interested in the topic to join. No prior registration is required.
Rowan Newman spent twenty years investigating serious and organised crime with UK law enforcement, seven of which were spent conducting counter narcotics and illicit finance operations in Afghanistan and Pakistan. He has spent the last three years at the UKs Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office. Rowan holds a Master of Law degree from Lancaster University.
