As environmental, social and economic challenges grow across the world, the imperative for managing and measuring sustainability impacts has never been more important. A growing number of companies and investors recognize that sustainability factors influence a firm’s bottom line in both positive and negative ways, and therefore are important elements in business, markets and competition. In these sessions, we will discuss how firms focused on building long-term enterprise value integrate material climate, nature and social risks and opportunities into their strategies and governance structures.
This course is part of the Advanced Management Programme but can also be attended as a standalone course.
Context
Increased compliance and reporting requirements as well as geopolitical headwinds have played a role in dampening the enthusiasm for sustainability of some market players. However, while there are many headwinds in the market, successful leaders remain focused on long-term enterprise value which includes taking sustainability risks and opportunities into account.
