SSE Riga leads the part of the project focused on building strong partnerships for innovation and boosting entrepreneurial growth. In autumn 2025, three initiatives were launched to strengthen these efforts.

With a mix of lectures, case studies, group work, and guest entrepreneur insights, the program aims to strengthen students’ ability to design, validate, and communicate innovative business ideas.
“From Lab to Market” Entrepreneurship & Innovation Clinic for Academic Staff/Researchers

Target audience: Academic staff (faculty, lecturers, researchers)
SSE Riga introduces From Lab to Market, a 10-hour entrepreneurship and innovation clinic designed for academic staff and researchers interested in turning scientific insights into real-world solutions.
Delivered across three sessions, the clinic combines workshops, mentoring, peer learning, market analysis, and the Value Creation Wheel (VCW) methodology to help participants identify innovation opportunities, validate ideas, and build research-based business models.
Through expert-led sessions on research-driven entrepreneurship, success factors in science-based innovation, and business model creation, participants explore commercialization pathways, learn from guest researcher-entrepreneurs, and receive personalized mentoring and technology valorization support. By the end of the clinic, researchers gain practical tools, strategic clarity, and market-oriented skills to bring their scientific work from the lab to the marketplace.
Marketing Skills for SME: Building Capacity for Entrepreneurial Growth (10-Hour Training)
Dates: December 8-9, 2025
Target audience: Non-academic and administrative personnel
SSE Riga presents Marketing Skills for SME, a 10-hour practical training designed to equip participants with essential marketing skills for promoting activities and reaching customers effectively.
This two-day training strengthens the capacity of non-academic and administrative personnel in education organisations to promote education and entrepreneurship-related activities in the institutions.
Using workshops, peer learning, and the Value Creation Wheel (VCW) methodology, the training introduces core concepts such as customer understanding, value proposition design, digital marketing, and AI-enhanced strategies. Participants learn how to segment markets, build clear messaging, choose the right marketing channels, and track key performance indicators.
Through interactive sessions, case studies, and hands-on group exercises, attendees apply VCW tools to real marketing challenges and develop actionable mini-marketing plans. By the end of the course, participants are equipped to structure marketing decisions using VCW, craft compelling value propositions, and implement data-driven strategies that support startup growth and customer acquisition.
