Students' Theses

SSE Riga Bachelor's and Master’s theses are available in the Library for the public. Theses can be borrowed for 7 days by SSE Riga students, faculty, and staff.

The use of theses should be consistent: with sub-section 1 of  Section 20 (1) of the Copyright Law of the Republic of Latvia:

 “It being mandatory that the title of the work and the name of the author to be used are indicated and that the provisions of Sections 14 and 18 of this Law are observed, it is permitted to reproduce works communicated to the public and published in the form of quotations and fragments for scientific, research, polemical, critical purposes, as well as use in news broadcasts and reports of current events to the extent justified by the purpose.”

and section 21 (1) of Copyright Law of the Republic of Latvia:

“It being mandatory that the title and name of the author of the work are indicated and that the provisions of Section 18 of this Law are observed, it is permitted to use communicated or published works or fragments of them in textbooks which are in conformity with educational standards, in radio and television broadcasts, in audio-visual works, in visual aids and the like, which are specially created and used in the face-to-face teaching and research process in educational and research institutions for non-commercial purposes to the extent justified by the purpose of their activity.”

Thesis work

A student can complete the SSE Riga Thesis individually or together with another student. Each student or pair of students developing a Thesis is entitled to a supervisor who advises regarding the planning and execution of the Thesis work.
