Outgoing Students

Outgoing Students

SSE Riga actively encourages students to participate in international mobility programmes during their studies. These experiences foster personal growth, strengthen intercultural skills, and provide a broader professional perspective.

More than 40% of SSE Riga Bachelor students gain international experience through long-term academic exchanges, short-term blended programmes, or international traineeships.

Erasmus+ Long-Term Study Mobilities

In the final year of studies, students can either remain at SSE Riga and specialize in selected fields, or spend a semester abroad through an exchange programme at a partner university (Erasmus+ or bilateral agreements), with the opportunity to choose a specialization not offered at SSE Riga.

SSE Riga students may join mobility programmes in both EU and non-EU countries. The list of Erasmus+ partner institutions is available here.

By studying abroad, students strengthen their communication, language, and intercultural skills, while also gaining soft skills highly valued by employers. In line with SSE Riga policy, no more than two students are placed at the same partner university, ensuring diversity across destinations.

If the exchange semester takes place outside the EU, students can apply for the Peter Högfeldt and Anders Paalzow Scholarships which will cover some of the expenses during their stay in the host country.

Erasmus+ Short-term Blended Mobilities

Some elective courses are offered in collaboration with partner universities. These short-term blended formats allow students to earn ECTS credits while studying abroad with international peers and spending time at the host institution.

Erasmus+ Traineeship

Students currently enrolled in higher education or recent graduates can apply for a work placement or internship abroad lasting from 2 to 12 months. These traineeships are available in EU countries and offer valuable hands-on experience in an international professional environment.
