The transformation of Central and Eastern Europe did not finish with the end of centrally planned economies; a new phase of transition is already underway. Poland stands out as Europe's fastest-growing economy, and we're going to look at why and how.

This course explores what drives Poland, examining how history, public policy, institutions, and entrepreneurship come together to shape not only today's business outcomes, but also the country's long-term economic direction and role in the region's future.

Over four study days, you'll participate in lectures, company visits, and hands-on case studies that integrate theory and practice. Our goal is not tourism, but rather an educational program to help you study, analyze, and build strong knowledge based on facts and actual experiences.

Programme key topics

  • Geopolitical Changes and Their Implications: CEE Economies’ Achievements, Perspectives and Current Challenges
  • Competing and Expanding from the Heart of Europe: Competitive realities and growth trajectories
  • Polish Business History: How can one protect a business against overwhelming historical forces
  • CEE in global economy: Strategic choices for policy makers and managers. New challenges for economy and companies
