SSE Riga launches new “Introduction to Entrepreneurship” course

SSE Riga is launching a new Bachelor programme course, Introduction to Entrepreneurship, running from October 26 to November 24, 2026. More than 140 BSc students will take part in the 50-hour, hands-on course designed to develop entrepreneurial thinking, creativity, and practical problem-solving skills.

The course is delivered within the IMPACTWHEEL project and integrates the Value Creation Wheel (VCW) methodology, a structured approach that helps participants identify challenges, explore opportunities, generate ideas, and develop solutions that create value.

Throughout the course, students will work in teams on real-world challenges provided by industry partners. Through workshops, case studies, AI-enhanced ideation, mentoring, and insights from entrepreneurs, they will explore the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and learn how to develop, test, and communicate early-stage business ideas.

The course will culminate in a public Demo Day, where students will present prototypes of their ideas and pitch their concepts to an external jury.

About IMPACTWHEEL

IMPACTWHEEL is an international project focused on strengthening entrepreneurship and innovation in higher education through the application of the Value Creation Wheel methodology. It brings together higher education institutions and other partners to develop and test practical approaches that connect education with real-world challenges, foster entrepreneurial and innovation skills, and encourage collaboration between universities and external stakeholders.

Through SSE Riga’s participation in IMPACTWHEEL, the project’s methodologies are being integrated into student learning, giving students an opportunity to apply structured innovation tools to practical challenges and develop solutions in collaboration with industry and entrepreneurs.
