You are kindly invited to attend an open lecture by Martins Sulte, CEO and co-founder of Mintos – a global marketplace for loans. Martins Sulte is a graduate of SSE Riga (Class of 2006).

The development of digital technology has been changing the way we see finance. Customer experience and ease of transaction are things that matter, and this is where fintech companies step in. The Baltics, and Latvia in particular, have become the most important fintech region in Europe with great global potential.

About the speaker

Martins Sulte is the CEO and co-founder of Mintos (www.mintos.com), an award-winning global online marketplace for loans, providing retail investors with an easy and transparent way to invest in loans originated by a variety of alternative lending companies around the world. Since its launching in 2015, he has led Mintos through a period of incredible growth, and it now holds the position of the world's largest marketplace of its kind. Mintos currently has three offices employing 60 people in Riga, Warsaw and Mexico City.

Prior to founding Mintos, Martins worked for six years in the investment banking industry at SEB, a leading Nordic financial services group, advising some of the largest M&A and equity capital market deals in Northern Europe. Martins graduated from the SSE Riga BSc programme, holds an MBA from INSEAD, France, and is a CFA charterholder.
