SSE Riga had the honour of welcoming the President of Moldova, Her Excellency Maia Sandu, during her official visit to Latvia.
On April 1, President Sandu delivered a talk at SSE Riga titled “Moldova’s Reforms and Resilience on the EU Path.” In her address, she highlighted Moldova’s progress on its path toward European Union integration and the country’s ongoing reform efforts. Latvia and Moldova share close ties and a strong commitment to cooperation, particularly in areas such as economics, law, IT, and cybersecurity.
SSE Riga contributes to this cooperation through educational initiatives and partnerships with institutions in Moldova, supporting leadership development and education aligned with EU integration. The School also takes pride in its community of students and alumni from Moldova.
Rector Anders Paalzow expressed his appreciation for the visit: “We thank President Maia Sandu for this inspiring visit. The President sent a strong message on Moldova's firm commitment to join the EU, as well as on the country's remarkable reform progress in key sectors such as the rule of law and the economy.
