SSE Riga Executive MBA diploma awarded to 24 new graduates
On June 26, SSE Riga celebrated the graduation of its Executive MBA Class of 2025. Twenty-four graduates were awarded their diplomas, marking the culmination of an intensive two-year programme designed for seasoned professionals seeking to enhance their leadership and business expertise.
Rector Anders Paalzow and Inga Spriņķe, Executive MBA Development Director, addressed the audience with welcoming remarks before the formal diploma presentation, reflecting on the demanding nature of the Executive MBA programme and expressing gratitude to the families whose support made it possible for the graduates to pursue this degree. Each graduate also received a personal letter they had written at the start of their studies — a meaningful reminder of their growth and achievements.
The Best Executive MBA Diploma Project award was presented to Maksim Kavunov and Veronika Pavlova for their thesis, “Employee Stock Options in Latvia: Challenges and Opportunities,” supervised by Professor Anete Pajuste.
Top academic honors went to Jānis Vība, Sergej Pogorelov, and Anžela Koļesņikova.
Sapna Advani, Director of the International Business Module in Asia, presented awards to the winners of the business plan competition held during the week-long study module in Singapore.
In a thoughtful gesture, the graduating class donated funds to create a scholarship for a future SSE Riga Bachelor Programme student, showing their commitment to supporting future leaders.
Interestingly, in this class, just like in a few previous ones, there were several former Bachelor Programme graduates who now hold both diplomas from SSE Riga: a BSc and an Executive Master of Business Administration.
The ceremony wrapped up with a group photo and warm congratulations for all graduates. They proudly become part of a global network of over 455 SSE Riga Executive MBA alumni.
