In his address to the graduates, SSE Riga Rector Anders Paalzow reflected on the values that define the SSE Riga community and encouraged graduates to carry these principles into their professional and personal lives.

The ceremony also welcomed Professor Lars Strannegård, President of the Stockholm School of Economics, who congratulated the graduates and highlighted the enduring connection between SSE Riga and its founding institution in Stockholm.

The Best Thesis Award, which recognizes outstanding research conducted by members of the graduating class, was awarded to Alise Kuzmina and Kristaps Plāte for their thesis "Do AI Skills Pay Off? Evidence from Employer Demand in Latvia", supervised by Professor Zane Vārpiņa.

Representing the Class of 2026, Alise Kuzmina, Filips Andrejevs, Andreas Kepp, and Kārlis Šadris delivered a farewell speech, reflecting on their experiences at SSE Riga, the friendships they built, the challenges they overcame and the opportunities ahead.

The graduates were also welcomed into the SSE Riga alumni network by Kristaps Siliņš, President of the SSE Riga Alumni Association.
