Public Lecture: Truth, Trust, and Technology — Understanding Generative AI’s Role in Information Integrity

Tuesday, October 6, 2026, 15:15 – 17:00
SSE Riga, Room 311

In the context of the Year 3 specialisation course in International Politics, SSE Riga invites you to a public lecture from Benjamin Delhomme, AI expert, on generative AI and disinformation titled "Truth, Trust, and Technology: Understanding Generative AI’s Role in Information Integrity".

As generative AI transforms how information is produced and shared, we will face new challenges in maintaining truth, transparency, and accountability. The course explores how AI systems can both amplify and detect misinformation, and how their black-box nature complicates our understanding of influence and trust online. By bringing together perspectives from communication and technology, we will examine how AI shapes human perception and belief, and propose ways to strengthen information integrity through collaboration between human expertise and AI-driven analysis.
