Public Lecture: Can Crime and Illicit Finance be Weaponized?

On August 30, as part of the Bachelor's programme in Business Law, Rowan Newman, the Senior Policy and Strategy Lead for Russia and Region at the British Embassy in Riga, will be delivering an engaging lecture to SSE Riga students on the topic of illicit finance. The lecture will be held on-site, and we warmly invite everyone interested in this subject to join us. Rowan Newman

Rowan Newman spent twenty years investigating serious and organised crime with UK law enforcement, seven of which were spent conducting counter narcotics and illicit finance operations in Afghanistan and Pakistan. He has spent the last four years at the UKs Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office. Rowan holds a Master of Law degree from Lancaster University.
