Discussions focused on legislative initiatives to improve data exchange between public institutions and reduce bureaucracy in the construction sector, including proposed amendments to the State Administration Structure Law and regulatory changes suggested to the Ministry of Smart Administration and Regional Development.

Professor Sauka also updated the President on preparations for the Artificial Intelligence Forum, which will explore AI’s risks and opportunities, its role in learning, and its potential to enhance public administration efficiency. The forum will emphasize practical proposals on how Latvia can safely implement AI solutions to boost national competitiveness and contribute to ongoing EU regulatory discussions around AI and digital governance.
