Rimac Tomislav

Lecturer. EMBA Course: Corporate Governance Visiting Faculty

Tomislav works as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Business and Management at the LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome. His research focuses on entrepreneurship directed at social change, social innovation, and organizational responses to institutional complexity. Tomislav is a principal researcher for the SEFORÏS project, a multi-disciplinary research program, funded by the European Commission that investigates the potential of social enterprises in the EU, China and Russia to enhance the inclusiveness of societies through greater stakeholder engagement, promotion of civic capitalism and changes to social service provision. Between 2009 and 2013, Tomislav was a principal researcher for the EC funded SELUSI project on social entrepreneurship and innovation.

Tomislav has extensive experience in teaching strategic management, corporate governance, entrepreneurship, sustainability and organizational theory classes to undergraduate, graduate, and executive audiences. Prior to entering academia, he held managerial positions in Canadian financial, IT and consulting sectors. He co-founded “All Through the House,” a social purpose initiative of the "St. Christopher House" in Toronto and "Rotman Nexus," an MBA-student-run consulting agency specializing in not-for-profit and social enterprise consulting at the University of Toronto.

Tomislav earned his Ph.D. in Management from the IESE Business School, University of Navarra (Spain), his M.B.A. from the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto (Canada), and his B.A.Sc. in electrical engineering from the University of Zagreb (Croatia).
