Following an introduction to the School and its overall activities by SSE Riga Rector Anders Paalzow, staff presented the activities of the Anne-Marie and Gustaf Ander Centre for Media Studies and the Centre’s plans for a Sustainable Society. The Parliamentarians showed a particular interest in the Centre for a Sustainable Society.

The group also met with SSE Riga students Hleb Birylau, Rodijs Ronis and Lada Samarska for a discussion on regional economic and political developments and how students see the future. All three had a positive view of the future and praised the high quality of education at SSE Riga ‒ something that the parliamentarians appreciated. The students also asked questions about Swedish politics.

The Speaker of the Parliament presented an artwork to the School for its 25th Anniversary ‒ a gift from the Swedish Parliament.
