After 11 years as the founding Director of ideaSpace at the University of Cambridge Stewart has recently left to start DeepTech.Labs, an early stage investment firm. While at ideaSpace he and his team supported over 700 founders who created ventures now worth in excess of £750m. Before ideaSpace he was an active member of the Cambridge entrepreneurial community starting multiple companies following his undergraduate degree in Computer Science at the University of Cambridge Computer Lab.
Alongside his work at DeepTech.Labs Stewart teaches entrepreneurship at the departments of Computer Science and Technology, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology and the Judge Business School. He also chairs the University Enterprise Network and sits on a number of advisory boards and committees.
