Panel Discussion "Industrial Policy Challenges in Latvia"

The Foreign Investors' Council in Latvia, in cooperation with the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga (SSE Riga), invites you to the panel discussion “Industrial Policy Challenges in Latvia”, which is part of the programme of the 16th High Council Meeting of the Government of Latvia and the Foreign Investors' Council in Latvia, 31 May – 1 June, 2012.

The discussion will feature a presentation by Professor Dani Rodrik, the Rafiq Hariri Professor of International Political Economy at the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University.

The topic of the panel will be Industrial Policy and its implications, and the panel will be comprised of experts from government and industry. The discussion will be moderated by Mārtiņš Kazāks, Swedbank Group Deputy Chief Economist.

Panel participants will be:

Daniels Pavļuts, Minister for Economics of the Republic of Latvia; 

Vjačeslavs Dombrovskis, Chairman of the Economic, Agricultural, Environmental and Regional Policy Committee, the Subcommittee for Tax Policy in the Parliament of Latvia;

Jānis Ošlejs, Economist; founder, co-owner and board chair of the company “Primekss Group”.
