15:00 - 17:00 Friday 21/04/2017SSE Riga, Strelnieku 4a, Room 507
Speaker: Prof. Robert Davison,City University of Hong Kong
"In this seminar, I aim to open up the black box of publishing from the perspective of an Editor in Chief of two very different journals so that researchers (in particular PhD students) have a better idea of the expectations of journals and journal editors. My fundamental purpose is to encourage the undertaking and writing of high quality, publishable, consumable research. In order to do this, I will highlight some key attributes of good – and less good – research. I will also provide insights into what editors (and reviewers) think – what they are (not) looking for. The lessons learned in the seminar should help you increase the probability that your research will be published."
