James Galbraith is the Lloyd M. Bentsen Jr. Chair in Government/Business Relations and Professor of Government at the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs, the University of Texas at Austin. He holds degrees from Harvard and Yale (Ph.D. in economics, 1981). He was in Greece the past half year in an economic policy-consulting role. Notable is his pedigree, where his father, the famous American economist, John Kenneth Galbraith, was a chief architect of Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s “New Deal,” and a leading diplomat for John F. Kennedy.

Arne Heise is Professor of Public Finance and Public Governance in the art at the Faculty of Social Sciences Economics at the University of Hamburg.

Jeffrey Sommers is Associate Professor of Political Economy & Public Policy at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and Visiting Faculty at SSE Riga.
