SSE Riga is piloting The Boardroom Exercise - this is a new examination format for the Strategy course involving alumni
In June, SSE Riga will be running The Boardroom Exercise for SSE Riga Year 2 BSc students as part of the Strategy course
What this is:
This year we will be piloting a new form of examination for our students at the end of their Year 2. In this exercise, students will be individually solving a Strategy case and presenting their analysis and recommendations, playing the CEO, to a pretend Board, comprised of a combination of alumni and faculty members. This replaces the written exam in Strategy - Boards will give students a grade for their performance, which will contribute 40% of their total grade for Strategy.
How you can contribute:
We would love you to join our Boards – this is an exciting new format used by some of the best business schools worldwide and it relies very heavily on alumni sharing their business judgment and real-world insights. For those of you interested in taking part, it would require a four-hour commitment, with options of slots on the morning or the afternoon of 21 June or the morning of 22 June (finish by 13.00) plus a 30min briefing a few days before (you will be able to dial in if you can’t join in person). We would be really grateful for your time – we have 130 Year2 CEOs to pressure-test.
