SSE Riga brings the latest technology to classrooms

SSE Riga is utilizing interactive whiteboards in the classroom - SMARTboards - as of this week.

A SMARTboard is an interactive whiteboard that uses touch detection for user input – e.g., scrolling, right mouse-click – in the same way normal PC input devices, such as a mouse or keyboard, detect input. A projector is used to display a computer's video output on the interactive whiteboard, which then acts as a large touch screen.

All input can be saved, shared, emailed, or uploaded to our elearning platform for further use. It sounds great, and you should see it in action in order to fully understand the capabilities. See this YouTube video for an overview, or find the next opportunity to participate in a classroom session: SMARTboard demo Video

Technology can greatly enhance the educational experience and allow for greater information sharing and collaboration, and SSE Riga continues to be a pioneer in the use of technology in teaching and learning in Latvia.
