The third Foreign Investors‘ Council in Latvia (FICIL) Sentiment Index report will be presented by Dr Arnis Sauka
On January 10th, 2018, SSE Riga Associate Professor Arnis Sauka will reveal fresh data on the investment climate in Latvia. How do foreign investors assess the business environment in Latvia – what are the areas of concern and what are the necessary improvements, where is there progress? What steps are policy makers willing to take to improve the attractiveness of the investment environment? How can we work together to build long-term competitiveness and mutual trust? Is there a gap between the legal framework and real life?
“This is the third Foreign Investors‘ Council in Latvia (FICIL) Sentiment Index report: joint initiative of FICIL and SSE Riga, aiming to explore the strength and weaknesses of the investment climate in Latvia and how development of investment climate has progressed over the past years. Study draws on interviews with key foreign investors in Latvia- entrepreneurs and top managers who make decisions to invest or increase investment. Or not. I do hope that, similarly to the two previous reports, this study will support policymakers with better grounds for making informed policy decisions in such a way that the overall competitiveness of the entrepreneurship climate in Latvia will be improved,” admits the author of the study, Associate Professor at SSE Riga Dr. Arnis Sauka.
