New President of SSE (Stockholm) Appointed
On April 23, the Board of Directors of the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE in Stockholm) appointed Professor Rolf Wolff as the new President of SSE (Stockholm). Dr. Wolff will take up the position on July 1, 2012.
Dr. Wolff currently serves as Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the School of Business, Economics and Law at Gothenburg University, Sweden where he held the position of Dean for ten years. Academically, Dr. Wolff has comprehensive experience, having held several academic positions both in and outside of Sweden (including SSE).
“I am honoured and enthusiastic about my new appointment. My task is, together with my colleagues, to continue to support the positive trends already underway at SSE. Together we will ensure that, as a well-established business school, the Stockholm School of Economics maintains its strong position in the face of increasing global competition for reputation as well as for resources”, said Rolf Wolff when commenting upon his appointment
As President of SSE (Stockholm) he will serve as a member of the Supervisory Board of the SSE Riga Foundation.
