Networking Event for Young Creative Entrepreneurs in Tallinn Succeeds
This networking event, held in Tallinn from October 28-30, 2011 brought together approximately 70 young entrepreneurs from Latvia, Estonia and Finland who were aiming to gain both experience and contacts for further business development.
The aims of the networking event were many, and included: Gaining an overview of the Estonian creative economy sector; acquiring new knowledge of sales, marketing and customer relationship management; making new contacts; learning from others’ experiences, and finding new partners.
The program consisted of three intense days of seminars and workshops, during which participants learned of the importance and benefits of having a strong social network, managing and developing customer relationships, strengthening sales and organizational skills, and international marketing. Fourteen Latvian participants took part in the event, gaining new knowledge as well as sharing their own experiences and best practices with participants from other countries.
The event was a part of the “Creative Entrepreneurship Training Network (CREAENT)” project implemented by Aalto University, SSE Riga, the University of Tartu, and Tallinn University of Technology. The project is funded by the Central Baltic Interreg IV Programme 2007-2013 and the European Regional Development Fund.

The networking event for young creative entrepreneurs is a part of the CREAENT project that provides young people and students from the creative industry sector with better knowledge and competence for becoming entrepreneurs. By developing a best-practice model of entrepreneurial education for creative industry students in universities in Finland, Estonia and Latvia, the project links knowledge and innovation to sustainable economic development and the overall competitiveness of the Central Baltic area.
