Videos from the Conversation Festival LAMPA 2017 Zviedru tent
The annual conversation festival "Sarunu festivāls LAMPA 2017" took place over the weekend of June 30th to July 1st in Cēsis. The conversation festival LAMPA included more than 200 separate events, in a myriad of formats with a diverse range of topics, all taking place in the Cēsis castle park. Events were organized by over 80 organizations, with the aim of strengthening democratic culture and the culture of conversation in Latvia.
LAMPA is a festival that gathers people who care about social processes and do not wish to remain on the sidelines. This year the Centre for Media Studies at SSE Riga and the Centre for Sustainable Business at SSE Riga, together with friends from QUO tu domā?, BICEPS, Delna, Re:Baltica and Providus, discussed various topics from why one should care about happiness to slam poetry in a special ZVIEDRU tent, which was supported by the Embassy of Sweden in Riga.
The festival is over, but we offer you to watch some conversations which took place in the ZVIEDRU tent:
In a world facing the consequences of the Great Recession and climate change, happiness research can contribute to enhancing or preserving quality of life. Because the success of modern societies will depend on their ability to handle these adverse consequences while preserving quality of life, it is essential to pay close attention to the determinants of human well-being and happiness.
Discussion was organized by the Centre for Sustainable Business at SSE Riga.
How can young people impact everyday life?
