Latvian Cleantech Ideas Competition

Cleantech is the future. It is one of the main focus areas globally and for Global Entreprenuership Week (GEW) and is also becoming a cornerstone of the future development of Latvia.

We are confident that there are young and innovative Latvian entrepreneurs with great cleantech ideas that given a chance and the right kind of support could develop the next Apple or Facebook of Cleantech. This belief is the reason why a group of cleantech enthusiasts, academics and professional organizations came together to organize the Latvian Cleantech Ideas competition. This Competition is a part of the Cleantech Open Global Ideas Competition, a featured event of Global Entrepreneurship Week 2012.

The goal of the Latvian Cleantech Ideas Competition is to find the most successful and promising cleantech ideas in Latvia and to reward the best with an opportunity to represent Latvia in the finals of the Cleantech Open Global Forum that will take place in Silicon Valley on the 8th and 9th November 2012.

The goal of Latvian Cleantech Ideas Competition is to find most successful and promising cleantech ideas in Latvia and to reward the best with opportunity to represent Latvia in competition finals at Cleantech Open Global Forum that will take place in Silicon Valley during the Global Entrepreneursip Week in 2012.

Cleantech is new technology and related business models that offer competitive returns for investors and customers while providing solutions to global environmental and resource challenges.

November 9^th-11^th	Additional networking events organized by Cleantech Open and partner organizations

Latvian Cleantech Ideas Competition is organized by Stockholm School of Economics in Riga (SSE Riga) in cooperation with innovative entrepreneurship consultants CleanStart and Bridgit!, Latvian Cleantech Cluster (Cleantech Latvia), and US non-profit Cleantech Open that runs world’s largest cleantech accelerator.
