Ethics and Sustainable Business Course

The Ethics and Sustainable Business course at SSE Riga was launched on November 26, 2012, and gathered more than 145 students from 16 companies for joint learning experiences in the fields of sustainability and CSR.

Students received business assignments which were developed by companies, for month-long research and development projects.

Tasks developed for the students were focused on research in the following areas:

  • Employee involvement in CSR activities
  • Stakeholder mapping and engagement
  • Energy efficiency
  • CSR measurement and reporting

Some companies, such as Cemex, SEB, Livonia Print, Aldaris, Radisson Blu Hotel, Silja, Latvijas Gaze, and Cytek will host more than one group of students, and thus will interact with at least 10 or more students during the research phase. All involved parties have mutually high expectations regarding both the process and the results.
